All-New 2027 Hyundai Tucson Revealed: First Look for New Minas

Hyundai Motor in South Korea released photos of the fifth-generation Tucson on August 19, 2026. It is the first complete redesign since the current generation launched in 2020. Driving.ca says Hyundai calls the angular look “Art of Steel”: a boxier SUV shape, full-width light bars, vertically oriented daytime running lights, and squared-off fenders. An XRT version appears in the photos with a more rugged front end.
It is slightly larger. Driving.ca reports overall length up 60 mm, width up 40 mm, wheelbase up 30 mm, and second-row headroom up 29 mm. Rear doors open 10 degrees wider. The cabin drops the old dual curved displays for a large central screen and a slim digital cluster.
Canadian pricing, trims, and an on-sale date have not been announced. Do not read a New Minas arrival month into this. Hyundai Motor’s August 26 investor briefing said the all-new Tucson and Tucson Hybrid “will launch in initial markets in the fourth quarter,” with more than 10 million Tucsons sold globally. That is not a Canada date. Car and Driver, citing Hyundai, later said hybrid and non-hybrid versions continue, and quoted the new hybrid at 242 horsepower from the familiar 1.6-litre turbo four. Plug-in hybrid for Canada is not confirmed.
